Las Vegas BikeFest
by Suzie Gauthier
In the heart of the Mojave Desert of Nevada, surrounded by a
reddish-orange mountain range, lies the fabulous Las Vegas
valley. Of course, we all know Las Vegas (a.k.a. Sin City) for its
endless nights and grandiose parties so imagine when you
add more than 30,000 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts
to the mix. You’ll have to hold on to your hat (or in this case
your helmet) and let the party begin !
Back again to Sin City for its 13th edition the LV BikeFest is
gaining popularity every year. Its organizers definitely know
how to satisfy its patrons with its abundance of activities and
attractions – and of course probably because it is supported
by all the other entertainment available in Vegas.
Who would have thought that in June 2013 all roads led to Valloire, a French community located in the area of
Savoie near the Franco-Italian border ? Motorcyclists attended the fourth Punta Bagna Kustom Party organized
by ATM and supported by the municipality of Savoyarde Station as well as partners Wild Motorcycles and RAD.
In any case the idea that “kustom” addicts could gather, riders of the iron horse and those who love friendly
fiestas began occupying the location as early as Thursday afternoon.
Attendees took just enough time to deposit their luggage at
their accommodations or set up their tents prior to the cool
night air moving in before they headed towards the village
centre to enjoy the bar terraces and bright sun. For some it
was a reward for getting through a few “issues” faced on the
road and for others the Punta Bagna Kustom Party marked
the official end of a very long winter.
